Various maneuvers regarding the "road map", from the Jerusalem Post. I think all of this is semi-moot. The change in Palestinian political culture which is a prerequisite for peace, by which I mean the acceptance that Israel has a right to exist and that it is not merely something to be tolerated until the Arabs are strong enough to destroy it, has not yet occurred, and there doesn't seem to be anyone in the PA who thinks its of any importance. I'm not holding out hopes for any of these negotiations, since the Palestinians will keep killing people and blaming it all on Sharon. They're also becoming more and more anti-Bush, which is going to work against them in regard to American public opinion. The best I think we can hope for is a lengthly lull before the next eruption.
