A few thoughts on the war:
First of all, I think I speak for many when I say that I feel not only vindicated, but down right ecstatic over the fall of Baghdad. The jubilation of the Iraqis spoke volumes to the world about how right those of us were who spoke the truth about Saddam when people weren't ready to hear it
Secondly, I think the most important thing about this war is how fully it has exposed the Left in all its moral and intellectual bankruptcy. Saddam Hussein didn't just fall the other day, so did the Sixties and so did Vietnam. The generation that fought against the Vietnam War has proven itself unable to move beyond Vietnam and to grasp that we live in a completely different world. It has also shown up a major segment of our intellectual and media elite as self-hating anti-American idiots who have descended into a world of their own making that bears no resemblance whatsoever to the realities of the world we live in.
Lastly, a note of caution, this is when we need to be most careful and most intelligent. A million things could still go wrong. We are a Hyperpower, but we are neither omnipotent nor invulnerable. Its not over yet. Lets get it right.
